Friz Freleng, Yosemite “Sahara Sam” Animation- Signed and Framed -RARE

Blue Goose is pleased to offer FRIZ FRELENG fans this unique piece of animation art featuring Yosemite Sam.

From the Warner Bros. Friz Freleng Masters Collection, this famous scene depicts in comic strip format Sahara Sam as Rif Raf Sam and his meeting with an obstinate camel inspired by a scene from the 1955 short, Sahara Hare. When Sam says Whoa!...he means Whoa!.

The drawing was recreated from the original animation. The master character line is a serigraph screen printed on an acetate sheet. The cel was then hand painted on the reverse side. The hand painted background image is photographically reproduced. Signed lower left by Friz Freleng (1905-1995).

This edition of 500 pieces (worldwide) is a SOLD-OUT edition. It was released way back in 1993, and is extremely hard to find. The artwork is comprised of a single hand painted cel placed against a photographic background, and measures a whopping 24" x 12" inches. The cel has the Warner Brothers gold seal (lower corner) and the artwork is in excellent condition.
